Now my broadband service can be shared among my family. Attached are the photos of the 3g modem and the wireless router setup.

The current promotion (enterprise broadband promotion) have 2 plan D68(68) for up to 384kbps download and D98(RM98) for up to 3.6Mbps download. There is no payment for registration but have to pay RM699 for the 3G modem which is Vodafone Huawei E220 and 24 months contract.
Kamikaze 7.09

MMC/SD support now is on the official package. The mod are mmc mount to /opt and swap partition. (wrt54g) and usb hdd on wl500gp. Below are the dmesg for wrt54g

It not small or portable oriented, though bulky the plus point is the screen is a big 15” wide screen lcd. Now Dell notebook come with colourful skin. This reviewed one is mocha brown in colour.

Its come with the basic options which are 1.5GHz Centrino Core2 Duo, 1G of RAM, 40G HDD, 128MB Nvidia GeForce 8400 and 15″ wide screen monitor. Preinstall with Microsoft Windows Vista. Mainly it will be used for programming and system development. So far it capable to handle windows based development environment and linux based compiler.
24/7 torrent client

First mount the NAS to a directory e.g /mnt/smb either using NFS or SAMBA. Then install screen tool (ipkg install screen) which a multi shell terminal tool that can attach or detach a terminal. This tool make sure your torrent application is running even exited your router.
IPTA Rating

This rating will help parents and candidates to find suitable courses. Personally I think it is a good decision. By that rating IPTA with high technical based course will be recognised with those established/old IPTA which based highly on theory courses.

Workstation to LAMP server
June 18, 2007 on 10:56 pm | In OS | No CommentsSuccessfully installed LAMP (Linux,Apache,MySQL,PHP) server into Dell workstation. The main purpose is to make it a domain controller. Original installation was a Windows XP Pro and cannot be used as the domain controller. Cannot afford to buy a Windows Server and linux+samba is the only alternatives. Came across a review about using a using a linux for 30 days by [H]ard|OCP.
Openwrt Kamikaze 7.06
June 13, 2007 on 11:16 am | In Internet, OS | No CommentsEven though the release date is early June, not to late to mention that kamikaze is a new development branch for openwrt which support more hardware than whiterussian release. It also use 2.6 kernel but still not support broadcom wifi, need to use 2.4 wifi. The main advantage is the system configuration is store in file not nvram anymore. Configuration now using uci command. For more info go to openwrt.org
